The CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ provides a framework for employers to have a healthier workplace by focusing on cancer risk reduction, early detection, access to clinical trials and high-quality care.
Welcome to CEO Cancer Gold Standard
Effective health and well-being programs are constantly evolving. Health benefits and well-being programs must adapt to keep pace as an organization grows, mission priorities change, and corporate and community cultures shift. The Gold Standard framework and application now reflect this dynamic.
Rather than a simple pass/fail accreditation, the Gold Standard Journey that will begin in late 2021 will capture and celebrate an employer’s evolving commitment to the health and well-being of its employees, their families and community.
The Gold Standard seeks to support a culture of health by focusing on Five key Pillars. At the recommendation of the Gold Standard Health and Well-Being Council, the CEO Roundtable on Cancer Board of Directors approved an updated framework that will be launched in late 2021.
The new Pillars prioritize health education, navigation and communication efforts and include well-being categories beyond physical health. They also emphasize attention to health equity -- the goal for every person to be as healthy as possible regardless of their circumstance or background.
This year, 34 employers mark their ten-year anniversary as Gold Standard employers, having maintained a strong commitment to the health of their employees and satisfying the latest, comprehensive requirements of the Gold Standard. The list includes two CEO Roundtable on Cancer Member companies, EMD Serono and Eli Lilly and Company
While the COVID-19 virus has created a time of great concern for our nation, we are encouraged and appreciative of all your hard work and continued focus on the health and well-being of your employees. That is of utmost importance and can have a great ripple effect on our communities.
In keeping with that priority, we will not require CEO Cancer Gold Standard™ re-accreditation for 2021. Current Gold Standard employers, including Global Gold Standard employers, will maintain their accreditation through 2021. We do ask that you reach out if we can do anything to support you.
